Semper Volt is my music project, born in 2013 when I started mixing guitar and voice with electronics. Before that, as DJ Telefunken, I played drum’n’bass in clubs in São Paulo, Rio and Brasília and released tracks on Trama and San Francisco’s Phuturo.

I’m an audiovisual artist based in São Paulo. My work is everything that unfolds in time: film, editing, sound and music. I move between commercial direction, research and the dance floor.
I started as a film editor, on Carlos Nader’s feature Preto e Branco and on films by Daniel & Lilian Santiago and Renata Druck. I then spent over a decade directing commercials that combine live action, VFX and animation, and was VFX consultant in pre-production of Netflix’s Senna. Most recently I handled editing, score and post-production on the documentary …Or Both Go Down (dir. Caskey Ebeling & Frank Stiefel).
Today I bring that training to AI. Framing, rhythm and the cut are what give synthetic images a human eye.
I’m part of Prof. Almir Almas’s research lab at ECA-USP, where I study editing in VR, dream logic and presence. As Semper Volt, I produce electronic music, DJ and direct the project’s music videos.
